Scratch Rendering Course

Professional Small Group Training – Limited Spaces

This is NOT machine plastering or silicone render training.
This course is focused purely on traditional scratch rendering using K-Rend and EcoRend systems — the methods used daily by UK renderers.

We run this course only a few times per year due to high material costs and small class sizes.

Who This Course Is For

This course is ideal for:

  • Complete beginners wanting to enter rendering

  • Plasterers looking to expand into K-Rend work

  • Builders wanting to bring rendering in-house

  • Serious DIYers who want to do it properly

  • Anyone wanting to earn higher-value exterior jobs

If you want real hands-on experience — not classroom theory — this is for you.

What You’ll Learn

This is practical training from start to finish.

You will cover:

  • Correct surface preparation and background checks

  • Beading and set-up

  • Mixing and handling K-Rend & EcoRend materials

  • Applying scratch coats properly

  • Ruling off and flattening techniques

  • Timing between coats

  • Applying finishing coats

  • Achieving a clean, professional standard

  • Tools used by working tradesmen

  • Common mistakes and how to avoid them

You will physically apply the material yourself.

We keep classes small — no more than 4 students rendering at any one time — so you get proper attention and feedback.

No standing around watching.
