No Experience Needed – Build Real Skill in One Focused Week

9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Maximum 4 students per course

This is our most complete beginner training programme.

Designed for total beginners, serious DIYers, and tradespeople who want to properly understand plastering from the ground up.

No classroom theory overload.
You’ll be on the tools every day.

What You’ll Learn Over 5 Days

The course is structured to build skill step-by-step so your confidence develops properly — not rushed, not overwhelming.

Surface Preparation

  • Assessing different backgrounds

  • Preparing walls and ceilings correctly

  • Applying PVA and bonding agents

  • Managing suction control

Mixing & Materials

  • Mixing plaster to the correct consistency

  • Understanding setting times

  • Reducing waste

  • Avoiding common mixing mistakes

Skimming Walls & Ceilings

  • Full 2-coat skimming process

  • Timing between coats

  • Flattening and polishing techniques

  • Working on plasterboard and solid backgrounds

  • Ceiling control and confidence

Beads & Repairs

  • Fitting angle beads correctly

  • Clean edges and sharp corners

  • Patch repairs and blending techniques

  • Fixing damaged areas

Professional Workflow

  • How plasterers manage timing

  • Tool control and maintenance

  • Avoiding beginner errors

  • Working efficiently and cleanly

Each day builds on the last.

Real Hands-On Training

You’ll plaster throughout the week.

Demonstration → Practice → Correction → Repeat.

That repetition is what builds real confidence.

Training takes place in a proper working bay — not a classroom setup.

Small Groups. Proper Guidance.

We limit the course to 4 students maximum.

That still allows:

  • Personal feedback

  • Real-time corrections

  • Plenty of time on the tools

  • A focused learning environment

You won’t be standing around watching.

Flexible Focus

If there’s an area you want to improve — ceilings, patching, second coat timing — we can strengthen that during the week.

But strong foundations come first.

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of the week, you will:

  • Understand the full skimming process

  • Be able to plaster a small room independently

  • Repair damaged walls confidently

  • Control timing between coats

  • Handle tools correctly

You won’t be a master in five days.

But you will have real, usable skills and a solid foundation to build on.

What’s Included

  • All tools provided

  • All materials included

  • Practical hands-on training

  • Small group environment

Wear old clothes — plastering is physical and messy.
