Learn to Skim Properly in One Practical Weekend

No experience needed.
No classroom theory.
You’ll be on the tools from day one.

This course is built for beginners and improvers who want real, hands-on skimming experience in a proper training environment.

What You’ll Actually Do

Over the weekend you will complete full 2-coat skimming on real walls and plasterboard.

You won’t just watch demonstrations — you’ll physically apply plaster yourself.

You’ll learn:

  • How to mix plaster correctly (no guesswork)

  • Proper use of trowel and hawk

  • When and how to apply PVA SBR and bonding agents

  • Timing between coats

  • Flattening and polishing techniques

  • How to avoid common beginner mistakes

  • How professionals manage their timing and workflow

This is practical skill-building, not theory.

Small Groups = Proper Attention

Maximum of 4 students per course.

That means:

  • One-to-one guidance

  • Corrections while you’re working

  • Time to ask questions

  • No being left behind

You train in a real working bay — not a classroom setup.

Who This Course Is For

  • Complete beginners who have never held a trowel

  • DIYers wanting to save money on renovations

  • Tradespeople improving their finishing skills

  • Anyone considering plastering as a future income stream

If you’re expecting to be a master in two days — this isn’t for you.

If you want solid foundations and real confidence — it is.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • Confidence to skim independently

  • Understanding of timing and technique

  • Real hands-on experience

  • Clear next steps if you want to progress further

Most people struggle for months trying to learn from YouTube.

In one focused weekend, you’ll understand the process properly.

Why This Course Pays for Itself

Hiring a plasterer to skim one room can cost £400–£800.

If you use this skill just once or twice, the course has paid for itself.

If you build on it, it becomes an income skill.
