Our plastering assistant gives you a place to ask questions while exploring a project or choosing training. Open Ask the Plastering AI and describe the job in your own words.

A useful question includes: the surface, its condition, whether the work is indoors or outside, and the product you are considering.

Examples to try

  • “I have sound painted plaster indoors. What should I check before deciding whether to skim?”
  • “What is the difference between a lime backing coat and a lime skim?”
  • “Which skills should I practise before tackling a ceiling?”
  • “Which course covers boarding as well as skimming?”

Use the answer as a starting point

The assistant cannot inspect a wall, verify hidden layers or approve a specification. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. Check named products against their current technical sheets and use competent on-site advice for damp, movement, unstable ceilings or suspected hazardous materials.
